Laser Melasma & Hyperpigmentation Treatment

http://AMAskincare.com A patient comes into our office and they have a melasma or hyperpigmentation. Well obviously this poor patients skin is unhappy on the inside because the melasma or skin discoloration is showing up on the outside. This unfortunate, unhappy discolored spot of skin that has forgotten how to take care of its own coloration. We remind it to do what it knows how to do. When we engage that part of the physiology with laser melasma treatment the skin takes care of itself. And the melasma and hyperpigmentation will disappear.
A dark skin discoloration, melasma appears predominantly in women and is due to excessive melanin production. Sun exposed areas of the face are most effected. Women with medium to darker skin tones are the most effected by this skin disorder. Melasma appears in greater incidence with women undergoing hormone replacement therapy, are taking birth control pills, or are experiencing the hormonal fluctuations during pregnancy.
A combination of different lasers is most effective in laser melasma treatment. At AMA Skincare we use 6 different types of lasers to target all types of hyperpigmentation. 4 to 7 laser melasma treatments are needed to effectively treat the hyperpigmentation.
