Footage of driver training on the Luas Cross City line on Thursday the 14th of August 2017. This video features two low floor Alstom Citadis trams 4014 and 4008 and was filmed between 11.11 and 11.53. The first shot shows a 401 tram number 4014 calling at the Dominick stop. The next shot at https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/yIg34zm_l6M shows the same tram departing Dominick onto Parnell Street. At https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/yIg34zm_l6M it continues down Parnell Street at the junction with Parnell Square West. At https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/yIg34zm_l6M The tram crosses O'Connell Street where the double line splits. The southbound line continues on Parnell Street whilst the northbound line is located on O'Connell Street. The next shot at https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/yIg34zm_l6M shows the same tram continuing its journey this time on the south side of the city at College Green next to Trinity College. The tram had a short delay at the junction of the Rosie Hackett Bridge and Hawkins Street. At https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/yIg34zm_l6M a second 401 tram 4008 crosses O'Connell Street travelling southbound from Broombridge to St Stephen's Green. Next at https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/yIg34zm_l6M tram 4014 has returned from St.Stephens Green travelling northbound back to Broombridge. At https://www.seevid.ir/fa/w/yIg34zm_l6M the same tram arrives at the Dominick stop.
The Luas Cross City is a major transport infrastructure project in Dublin, Ireland. It a new light rail standard gauge tram line. The project sees the existing Luas Green line extending north from St. Stephens Green to O'Connell Steet and Abbey Street where it connects with the existing Luas Red line. The line continues north through the city as far as the Irish Rail station at Broombridge. The line opens in December 2017 and is owned by TII - Transport Infrastructure Ireland and trams operated by Transdev on behalf of the NTA - National Transport Authority.
