When The Avoidant Knows They Lost You. If you realize you were dating someone with an avoidant attachment style, you may feel like they will never miss you or reconsider coming back. They DO come back, and they do consider repairing the relationship all the time. BUT, if you don’t work on your attachment issues, the same problems will come up again shortly. When this happens, the avoidant often decides to quit again ( many times for good).
