Navin Nischol — A Forgotten Bollywood Star

This video is about the life and biography of Navin Nischol, a forgotten Bollywood heartthrob, who was once a promising young actor in the Hindi Film Industry. Navin Nischol was a prominent romantic star in the 1970's and was also known as the poor man's Rajesh Khanna. Navin Nischol graduated from FTII, Pune with a gold medal and made it big with his first movie 'Sawan Bhadon' released in 1970. Thereafter Navin Nischol did many films like Buddha Mil Gaya (1971), Parwana (1971), Hanste Zakhm (1973) to name a few. Interestingly Navin Nischol refused to star alongside Amitabh Bachchan in the movie Deewar (1975), when Yash Chopra offered him the role of Shashi Kapoor.
