Halo: Combat Evolved is one of the most influential and iconic first person shooters. What's lesser known is that the game was incredibly rushed late in development to meet their tight release deadline. This all culminates in a beta build that despite being on 3 months before the game's release, is wildly unfinished and completely different than what we eventually got.
