a. Preparation for Ruqyah: Clean yourself & your surroundings from everything that is not in accordance with Islamic norms. Intend to do ruqyah with firm determination & belief.
b. Choosing the Right Time: Certain times are recommended for doing ruqyah, such as after obligatory prayers or at blessed times.
