Turkish Airlines are making the massive and unprecedented move of moving their entire operation to the new mega airport at Istanbul from Ataturk within 45 hours (pictured: a Turkish cargo jet is loaded at Ataturk; bottom right, parts of the furniture are removed; and bottom left, a runway truck is pulled out on top of a larger truck). The 'Great Move' began early on Friday morning and is scheduled for completion late on Saturday night. The official website for the massive new airport proudly states: 'This is not just an airport. It’s a monument to victory.' It is scheduled to be fully completed by 2027 at a cost of £6bn and they say it will be the busiest airport in the world.
