Learning how to get rid of that nasty gasoline smell in your car or on your hands can be quite difficult. In this video, we will explain a few methods on the removal of the gas smell on almost any substance. To get rid of gasoline smell on your body or hands, quickly take a warm shower and wash your body with shampoo and soap. Many soaps are scented and will at least mask the foul odor. After your shower, apply some moisturizer or lotion. If you can, cologne or perfume also work great at covering up the smell.
Removing the smell from a car can be a bit more difficult since the spills can be hard to clean up or get to. Febreeze is a great way to start, just spray some febreeze in your car and leave the windows down for a few hours. Another method is to use an air freshener or tree and place them over the vents.
Coffee ground is another great method to clean up the mess. Take some coffee grounds and sprinkle over the gas spill to eliminate the odor naturally and fast. For some reason, coffee ground can get rid of almost any bad smell including the gasoline smell. Many truckers have used this method in their trucks and found that it works better than the baking soda method over and over.
If you are trying to clean out of a carpet, pour some baking soda onto your carpet, the, sprinkle some vinegar onto it. Use a toothbrush or broom to scrub away at the carpet to ensure that you are scrubbing it hard. After you are done, pour a bit more vinegar over the mess, and vacuum it up. If there is a stain, or it doesn't all come out, pour some more vinegar and repeat.
