We review, field strip, and range test the beautifully Italian designed Beretta PX4 Storm full size pistol chambered in 9mm. Designed to replace the U.S. military sidearm, M9, the PX4 Storm was the only pistol in the competition to pass each and every test. While the military ultimately decided not to replace the M9 for mostly political reasons, the PX4 Storm was the best of the best.
This design incorporates the unique rotating barrel lockup for a very smooth action. With limited muzzle flip and recoil that translates more directly into the arm, this offering from Beretta is worth a good strong look when choosing a full size pistol. It also comes chambered in .40S&W and 45ACP. You can also get it in a compact and sub compact configuration. It also offers the option of a C (Constant) action configuration that loses the decocker/thumb safety for a manual safety and a trigger that has a "constant" long, 12lb pull for law enforcement use.
