Mega Man X6: Infinity Mijinion Guide (Falcon Armor & Zero—No Parts, Weapons, or Upgrades)

STRATEGY FOR X: 1) Have
STRATEGY FOR X:
1) Have Auto-Charge & Rapid Fire turned on.
2) Suicide to Mijinion once, if you feel you need it (I didn't)
3) Nail him with two Charged Shots, then lure him up to the top of the screen —It's random how long he takes to do this.
4) Blast him with a 3rd Charged Shot to spawn a clone.
—This will put the clone's bubbles far enough off-screen that they'll despawn the moment he makes them. This is the most important part of the strategy!
5) Blast the clone with four Charged Shots before repeating Steps 3 & 4.
6) Repeat Steps 3, 4, & 5. Mijinion should be down to a 4th of his health bar.
7) Spawn one last clone at the top, then finish off Mijinion!
DODGING HIS ATTACKS:
This will always be a hassle, due to being able to use most of his moves from wherever he wants to... But in general, you'll want to dodge the following like this:
Bubbles: Try to scroll them off-screen, if you can. Occasionally, you'll have to Rapid Fire a few, if there's already a clone at the top, and you want to avoid spawning two sets of bubbles at once.
Purple Arrow: This is the one we want. Just jumping over it is often sufficient... But you'll want to practice making it go up early, for the times you're dragging Majinion to the top.
Hail of Arrows: The one attack he always does from the same spot. I always choose the same two spots to dodge, depending on which side of the room I'm on. See the video itself for what those spots are.
Scatter Shot: The hardest one to see coming, IMO. It also does the most damage, apart from running into Mijinion himself, so... The most reliable way I've found is to pay attention to which side he's facing. The blasts start from his arm, not his body, so remember that. Also, Dashing to his other side before ducking helps me dodge the 3rd and 4th waves. Pause Buffer this if you have to—even I did, a few times!
STRATEGY FOR ZERO:
1) Suicide to Mijinion once, if you feel you need it (I didn't)
2) Nail him with three Z-Buster shots to spawn a clone.
3) Blast the clone with x4 shots to kill it before it makes any bubles!
—This requires a precise rhythm. I look at the sparks around Zero's Z-Buster to help me time this.
4) Repeat Steps 3 & 4 until he's dead!
DODGING HIS ATTACKS:
Significantly easier than X. Zero's 3rd Slash is the strongest of his basic combo, and will also hit multiple times in the same slash. It decimates anything that doesn't have invincibility frames, so time your combo so that only IT hits the bubles! Relying on the 1st & 2nd is useless—the bubbles will hit you before the 3rd Slash can do its thing.
You can also Spin Dash in the air to destroy the bubbles... Just make sure you don't hit Mijinion by accident. That will put the clone out of Z-Buster range, and screw you hard.
