INTERRACIAL DATING IN GERMANY IN COMPARISON TO THE USA

Only 10 days til I am on my way to Germany!
Ok let me try and collect my feelings/thoughts here. This will probably be a long post here but READING IS GOOD FOR THE SOUL.
I like to think as I age... I am becoming more mature, more seasoned, wiser...THE LIST GOES ON but we will go on from that. I know that in some ways I am still an immature girl but in others I am an intelligent, mature woman. One of the most frequently asked questions I get is about my relationship with Mike and not just about my relationship..... but ABOUT the color of our skin. Usually the people asking said questions are women of color coming from the USA, needless to say... I did not expect anything different. I am someone that girls can identify with. I am brown, I am in a different country, I am young, and I am dating a guy from a totally different culture. People need someone to look up to and compare themselves with or look for guidance in their life. Lets say that said women want to travel to Germany... It's nothing new to look up and do research on the country before actually traveling there... EVEN DATING RESEARCH.
I have noticed that dating in the Germany is totally different than dating in the USA (see other dating videos I have made: Youtube Search Hayley Alexis Dating in Germany) which also includes INTERRACIAL DATING. If you don't know what interracial dating is... It's when a person of one color/ethnicity dates someone of a different ethnicity/color. Coming from the USA where interracial dating is an actual "thing" I automatically assumed that it would be the same in Germany.
Don't get me wrong... Due to the influence that the USA & UK has on Germany, the interracial scene is coming more into the spotlight. Now granted this video ties into the racism video in some way I don't want to make it 100% about race but...we all know when you talk about "interracial dating" you'll most likely have to talk a lot about race. I don't want people to think that Germany is all lollipops and rainbows because I say that the racism problem isnt as bad/the same as in the USA BUT it's not the same.... SO interracial dating WONT BE THE SAME. Since the racism in Germany is different than the racism in the USA (Youtube Search Hayley Alexis Racism Germany) I believe I have had different experiences in both countries in regards to dating interracially.
Maybe it's just that people from Germany are a little more open-minded than people in the USA and they have realized that judging something/someone based on their skin color is ridiculous. In the USA I feel like so many people date outside of their race because they think it's "hip" and "cool". Don't get me wrong... A lot of people have preferences (I mean I was made from an interracial relationship and I am sure my mother did not think my dad was "hip" or "cool") but aside from the people that find love regardless of skin color and people that prefer a certain look over the other.. There are a bunch of people who date certain people only to be the next "Kim Kardashian & Kanye West".
I am trying my best to make my relationship something other than "brown girl & white guy" and that is basically the message I am trying to send to everyone. I don't want to be defined by the color of my skin (unless I went on vacation and got a tan) and would hope that the girls/guys reading this would also want their relationship to be something other than "brown/white". Let us not forget we are all human... Some people just have more melanin than others.
I am all for discussions and debates about interracial relationships in the comment section and will be excited to read them.
