This GL5 tank active protective
This GL5 tank active protective system is made by Norinco.
It's mainly for export.
It can destroy all non-kinetic-energy weapons before they touch vehicles.
Although it's powerful, the Chinese military hasn't been equipped with it now maybe Chinese officers think it's useless in large-scale operation because they get enough armed helicopters and Infantry Fighting Vehicles to protect their tanks in the battlefield. But the sockets of this active protection system in China's type-99A MBT and 96B MBT are all reserved.
