Audi MMI 3G+ how to force reboot navigation system

How to force a restart of your Audi MMI 3G+ system if your navigation starts to misbehave, controls are slow, screen freezes or you enabled new features using the hidden menu and need to reboot the unit.
There's a simple key combination that will force the head unit to reset as soon as correct buttons are pressed. This also works on a Audi RMC system.
