Is there any rule to read Bhagavad Gita : 📖
Here are the rules that you might have heard,
But there is no distinction between men and women except that for the body. We all are souls.
Think beyond this concept of you
being limited to this body.

Now, first of all, reading gita is not a punishment that you have to give up doing the stuff you like.

Some basic amenities must be maintained while reading the book. One must keep his/her body pure.
By pure, i mean.. Some basic rules that people maintain while going to a temple.

There is no such rules prescribed for reading Bhagavad Gita. One can read it anywhere or anytime.As per Gita implementation of knowledge is more important than reading

Other important things are :
1. Follow the reading of gita with meditation.
2. Do not read too much of it in one day. (if read too much in one day, you might lose out interest in your actual life) Read a maximum of two shlokas with their meanings in details.
3. Prefer an easier version of Gita that can be understood by you according to your language and beliefs. (I suggest "srimadbhagwadgita" Gita Tatva Vechani Tika : GitaPress, gorakhpur. )

4. Understanding gita is a slow process. It takes time. You also need to experience and realize the stuff you are reading.

5. Respect the book. Keep it separately from other books even if you are not religious. This helps amazingly to all the new readers. :)
