🔹Windows 1.01 is the very first version of the Microsoft Windows operating system. It was released on November 20, 1985. Windows 1.01 introduced the concept of a graphical user interface (GUI) to IBM-compatible personal computers. Although it was not as feature-rich as later versions of Windows, it marked the beginning of Microsoft's dominance in the personal computer operating system market.

🔹 Windows 1.01 included basic applications like MS-DOS file management, a simple text editor, a calendar, a clock, and the iconic MS Paint program. It allowed users to navigate their computer using a mouse and visual elements such as overlapping windows.

🔹Compared to modern operating systems, Windows 1.01 may seem very basic, but it laid the foundation for the evolution of the Windows operating system, eventually leading to the highly popular Windows versions we use today.
