You rarely miss, hardly ever flag your buddy and nobody gets super weird if you point it at them, it’s pretty much a universal training tool. We use them a lot in teaching CQB because we focus on the foundation of the entire evolution. We focus on the threshold, it’s where all your training starts and a lot of the times where it’s tested the most.
We don’t teach tactics, just help students understand what they are actually doing and show them the finer details of the entire process. We believe that the deeper you go into understanding the “why” the better you can solve problems under duress.
The mindset of CQB is one of the most important and under discussed/ trained aspects in our experience but it’s one of the most important and directly translates to the team and the individual performance.
You are in control of yourself, your kit, the speed you move and the noise you create on the battlefield, you are accountable for it all, so don’t do anything without purpose. We are gonna lean heavy on flat range work designed around CQB, improving processing speed, having more awareness of your body and how it moves through the CQB scenario.
