How to knit baby socks
How to knit baby socks step by step.
Materials: a double pointed needles 2.5 mm, a yarn 25 gr 125 mt, knit in two thread, a tape measure, a sewing needle.
Cast on 32 stitches. Distribute all stitches on four needles 8 stitches each in this way : k2p2k2p2
Knit the ribbing 20 rows.
Knit the gusset 5 rows.
Knit the heel flap to back and forth 11 rows :
- slip the edge stitch - k(14) sts -the last stitch purl wise
- turn
- slip the edge stitch - p(14) sts -the last stitch purl wise
-turn
Repeat from 1 to 2 rows
12th row we will knit in this way :
slip the first stitch -one
purl -two
purl - three
purl -four
two purl stitches togrther - !this is the first stitch of heel! -one,two,three,four,five - two purl stitches togrther -six STOP-TURN
slip-one,two,three,four,five-two knit stitches togrther - six TURN
slip-one,two,three,four,five-two purl stitches togrther - six TURN
Gusset stitches to pick up.
Pick stitches up for the back loop. (6)
Knit two rows and will make a decrease. (two knit togeher)
Each needle has 8 stitches.
Knit the foot 15 rows.
Shape the toe like this:
the first needle - !knit the first stitch, 2 knit together, all(5) knit stitches!
the second needle - !all (5) knit stitches and the last three stitches - 2 knit together, knit the last stitch!
the third and fourth needles knit similarly.
Knit two rows without decrease
Repeat one more time this decrease
the first needle - !knit the first stitch, 2 knit together, all(5) knit stitches!
the second needle - !all (5) knit stitches and the last three stitches - 2 knit together, knit the last stitch!
the third and fourth needles knit similarly.
Then we need to do decrease on each row.
There are three stitches left on each needle.
Cut off yarn, and to through stitches on needles.
Pull off and hide the end of the thread.
We need to do the same over here. And Up.
