Check out her inside tips...for more, go to www.colourbasis.com :Hello Gorgeous, Christi Schrieber here. Going to show you how to properly apply your contour eyeshadow with our contour it brush. And we are going to start with the ultimate brush for doing a contour. This is our contour it brush. And the way that you load this brush is extremely important to get the desired results. So, it's a long brush, must people look at this and go "this is great" and want to pick up the colour using this much of the brush. And you don't do that at all. You just use the very tip of this brush. These bristles are hand cut for precision application and to help you with blending. You just want to load the very tip of it like a ball point pen. So in order to do that you take it and just swirl, swirl, swirl the tip of it. Just loosening up the pigment on the very tip of it. If you have excess amount you just want to tap your brush. You don't ever want to blow your brushes, only tap. So, now you have a good load on your brush, so we are ready for the application. And you want to start from, and I'm using my monitor here to make sure I am placing this right. So you want to start on the outer corner and keeping the brow relaxed. Notice how my brow is all the way down. This is the hardest part to do to when you are learning this step. Because it's natural for everyone to raise their brow when you comes at doing a application and the contour. Nine times out of ten you are going to go like this. So, again even if you have to place your hand here and really keep that relaxed it what you really want to do. And you start from the outer corner and you go above your crease. So your going to go higher than you have ever gone with your contour colour. And just carving this out. Notice that I am going back and fourth like a windshield wiper on my contour and I am just carving this out. Using gentle stokes going back and forth like this. So you want to make sure that you go high enough. The whole trick it to keep the ball of your eye really light and bright. This on camera makes your eyes look huge. So going above the crease. So, I am going to do my other eye. If you have your brushes and shadows you should to this with me. So again starting from the outer corner of the eye keeping the brow relaxed keeping your brow all the way down starting at the corner carving above the eyeball. And just going back and forth all the way. Making sure you get a good rounded motion rounding out those eyes. Good job. Just sweeping it back and forth. Blending is crucial here, just with any makeup for television blend, blend blend. The difference between great makeup and scary makeup especially in HD is about 15 strokes. So just keep blending. So that is your crease.
