Whats that noise?! | MINI Cooper R53 Idler Pulley

After a winter overhaul the Mini developed a very high pitch tinny rattling noise which I managed to diagnose as the idler pulley. It had failed leading to the bolt detaching from the bearing!

It's a very simple fix and it would be worth changing if you haven't already done so, as a failed pulley could end up shredding your auxiliary belt and that's not what you need!

I bought my idler pulley directly from MINI but, there are other pulleys available on the web.
