On 6 March 1997, Queen Elizabeth II visited Kingsbury High School in Brent to launch the new Royal website, www.royal.gov.uk. It would, the Queen hoped, encourage older people in Britain and the Commonwealth realise the full potential of the internet and the world wide web.
