The 12471 / 12472 Swaraj Express is a Superfast Express train belonging to Northern Railways Zone that runs between Bandra Terminus and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra in India.
It operates as train number 12471 from Bandra Terminus to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and as train number 12472 in the reverse direction.
It would initially run from Mumbai Central. Later it was transferred to Bandra Terminus.
12471 Bandra Terminus–Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Swaraj Express covers the distance of 2030 kilometres in 33 hours 15 mins (63.41 km/h) & 2030 kilometres in 32 hours 55 mins (63.24 km/h) as 12472 Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Bandra Terminus Swaraj Express.
It is now regularly hauled by a Ghaziabad-based WAP-7 (HOG)-equipped locomotives from end to end.

The train has standard LHB rakes with max speed of 130 kmph between Virar and Ludhiana. The train consists of 22 coaches:

Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra railway station (station code: SVDK) is a railway station on the Jammu Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla Railway Link in the Indian Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. It mainly serves for the town of Katra where the major hindu divine temple Shri Mata Vaishno Devi is situated which is visited by millions of travellers per month with the help of this station and its frequent special trains connectivity from all over India. The station belongs to the Firozpur division of Northern Railway zone in Jammu and Kashmir.
In 1898, Maharana Rana Prathap Singh first explored to connect Jammu with Srinagar. But due to non-co ordination and other reasons, it stopped.
In April 2005, the Jammu Udhampur Srinagar Baramulla Railway Link was completed up to Udhampur railway station from Jammu side and up to Banihal railway station from Srinagar side. Pirpanjal railway tunnel was completed and testing was being conducted in 2012. The rail link was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 4 July 2014 at 10:00 A.M. This means that Katra is currently the northern terminus of the southern section of the Jammu–Baramulla line as well as the northernmost place accessible on the contiguous network of Indian Railways.
A 1 megawatt solar power plant was commissioned at the station in March 2015.
The ground floor of Katra railway station has escalators, lifts, current reservation, second class booking, train enquiry section, pilgrim guide, tourist assistance, VIP lounge, a fully air-conditioned hotel with a shopping lounge, multi-cuisine restaurant, cloak room, waiting hall, a book stall, tea stall, toilet blocks, and catering area. The first floor accommodates eight retiring rooms and a cafeteria. A huge parking place also constructed to accommodate cars and passenger buses.
Being a modern railway station. Katra Railway station is equipped with modern facilities.

Katra or Katra Vaishno Devi, as it is popularly known, is a small town near REASI in Reasi district in the union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, India, situated in the foothills of the Trikuta Mountains, where the holy shrine of Vaishno Devi is located. It is located 42 km (26 mi) from the city of Jammu.
Katra is located at 32.98°N 74.95°E. It has an average elevation of 875 metres (2,474 feet). The Banganga River passes through the village.
There have also been reports of possible oil reserves in the area.

Udhampur railway station is situated in municipal committee of Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, India. The average elevation of the station is 660.054 metres (2,165.53 ft) above mean sea level. The rail distance between UHP and JAT is 53 km (33 mi).
The Uttar Sampark Kranti Express train from New Delhi was the first train to run on this link in 2005. Commuter unreserved passenger trains (DMU) linking Jammu and Udhampur (and Pathankot) also run on a daily basis and are quite popular.
The rail link to Katra was inaugurated and opened in 2014. Jammu Mail and Uttar Sampark Kranti Express have been extended to Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra railway station wef September 2015.
There are a total of 3 platforms and 5 tracks. The platforms are equipped with modern facility like display board of arrival and departure of trains.
Udhampur railway station has a separate platform for receiving and unloading freight (goods) trains.
