Homemade Dump Trailer

Myself, with a lot of input for "Porky", designed this dump trailer. Ian did most of the welding. I didn't want to spend over $1000 to build it so it was made from mostly recycled steel.  There are 2 telescopic posts on the front of the trailer that lift a pulley up 8'; they are old basement jacks or house posts. They lift up with a boat winch for dumping and go back down for traveling. The trailer dumps using a 7500lb Keeper 12 volt winch (I LOVE Princess auto!) and works surprisingly well. I've dumped 4 tones of gravel on my property just to see if the winch would actually lift then dump the load; no problems.
