How's it going Clint at etrailer.com. Today, we'll be taking a look at, and I'll show you how to install, a PTC Cabin Air Filter on our 2016 Toyota Highlander.To start our installation, we want to have our glove box cleaned out and open. There's going to be an arm right here that controls our glove box release. We're going to pinch these tabs and pull off this actuator. With that actuator pulled off, we can then pinch in on the corners of our glove box and pull it down. With our glove box removed, you can see this plastic panel here. We'll simply pull that down and that exposes our cabin air filter box. It's probably hard to read, but there is an up with arrows pointing up. This is the direction that our airflow's going. We're going to pinch in on the tabs on the sides of our trap door and pull that cover off.And, again, you can see the airflow coming from bottom going up on our stock filter. You can go ahead and pull that out. In my left hand is our old filter, and in my right hand is our new filter. This is a charcoal filter, so the color is a little bit different. But, as you can see, there's dirt and debris inside of our pleats. That's good because our filter is doing its job. But, over time, all that added dirt and debris is going to put more stress on our AC unit, and, over time, that's not good for our vehicle. Also, with all this dirt and debris, our air isn't going to be as clean for us and our passengers. We can go ahead and look at our new filter. Our new filter is going to be a white media particulate, and it's also pleated.This is going to block up to 90% of any dirt or debris coming through our air. This is a very simple install. I definitely would suggest doing it yourself and not taking your vehicle somewhere and paying someone to do this. It takes just a few moments and you can definitely do it in your driveway. Coming back to our compartment, we want to make sure our arrows are pointed up as our airflow is coming from bottom to top. We can go ahead, slide our filter in, and replace all of our components in the reverse order that we took them apart. So, with all of our components reinstalled, we're ready to hit the road. That's going to do it for a look at and installation for the PTC Cabin Air Filter on our 2016 Toyota Highlander.
