The XXIX National Congress of
The XXIX National Congress of the AIC Italian Cichlid Association took place on 23 and 24 September 2023 and we celebrated our thirtieth year of activity.
We held a special congress: that of the thirtieth anniversary of the AIC. We celebrated with dignity, talked about fish, toasted, had lunch together, met old friends, met new ones, listened to conferences, participated in the lottery. Our congress has been held since 1994 and has never missed a date, even in the year of COVID where it was limited to just one day in compliance with current regulations. This year too the Congress was held thanks to the effort of many who should be thanked one by one. First of all, we remember Le Onde Cichlids of Izano who worked hard to obtain the comfortable venue that has welcomed us for a couple of years and the Municipal Administration of Izano who promptly believed in the event. Immediately after the sponsors who generously support the Congress: Amtra, Aquarium Munster, EscheMatteo, GreenVet, Iemmi Ermanno Allevamento Pesci Tropicali, JBL, La Mangrovia, Oase, Prodac, SHG, Tetra. A big thank you also goes to the speakers Renè Kruter, Michael Näf and Leoni Livio who gave talks of great interest and level. We also remember Acquari Naturali who organized the "live" setup of an African river tank (Moliwe river) and Giacomo Guarraci of ITAU who saw to its creation. We leave for last those who are the core of AIC, the members. Without them the Association would not exist. Thank you because, when we are together, it is really possible to feel the passion that fuels our hobby. Next year will be even better!

RENE KRUTER At the age of 28 René Krüter becomes an exporter of Lake Tanganyika from Zambia and Congo
After seven years, he gets involved in the production of fish food
For the last six years he has been collecting fish in West Africa together with the West African Cichlids group with which he has organized an annual 3-day meeting on West African cichlids
René currently owns Kiyomizu BV (koi food manufacturer) and works for Bio4Africa in Uganda and Ghana.

XXIX Congresso Nazionale AIC Associazione Italiana Ciclidofili
Abbiamo tenuto un congresso speciale: quello del trentennale dell’AIC. Abbiamo celebrato degnamente, parlato di pesci, brindato, pranzato assieme, incontrato vecchi amici, conosciuto i nuovi, ascoltato conferenze, partecipato alla lotteria. Il nostro congresso si tiene dal 1994 e non ha mai mancato una data, anche nell’anno del COVID dove per si è limitato a un solo giorno nel rispetto delle normative vigenti. Anche quest’anno il Congresso si è tenuto per lo sforzo di molti che vanno ringraziati uno per uno. In primo luogo, ricordiamo Le Onde Cichlids di Izano che si è prodigato per ottenere la confortevole sede che ci accoglie da un paio di anni e l’Amministrazione Comunale di Izano che ha prontamente creduto nell’evento. Subito dopo gli sponsor che sostengono il Congresso generosamente: Amtra, Aquarium Munster, EscheMatteo, GreenVet, Iemmi Ermanno Allevamento Pesci Tropicali, JBL, La Mangrovia, Oase, Prodac, SHG, Tetra. Un grande grazie va anche ai relatori Renè Kruter, Michael Näf e Leoni Livio che hanno tenuto relazioni di grande interesse e livello. Ricordiamo anche Acquari Naturali che ha organizzato l’allestimento “live” di una vasca fluviale africana (fiume Moliwe) e Giacomo Guarraci di ITAU che ha provveduto alla sua realizzazione. Lasciamo per ultimi coloro che sono il nucleo di AIC, i soci. Senza di loro l’Associazione non esisterebbe. Grazie perché, quando siamo insieme, è davvero possibile sentire la passione che alimenta il nostro hobby. L’anno prossimo sarà ancora meglio!

RENE KRUTER All'età di 28 anni René Krüter diviene un esportatore del lago Tanganyika dallo Zambia e dal Congo
Dopo sette anni, viene coinvolto nella produzione di alimenti per pesci
Negli ultimi sei anni raccoglie pesci in Africa occidentale insieme al gruppo West African Cichlids con cui ha organizzato un incontro annuale di 3 giorni sui ciclidi dell'Africa occidentale
Attualmente René è proprietario di Kiyomizu BV (produttore di alimenti koi) e lavora per Bio4Africa in Uganda e Ghana.
