Dancehall as we have now
Dancehall as we have now come to know it had its genesis in the late 1970s and has grown to become a worldwide phenomenon. Some of its early exponents, influencers even, will come together in OLD SKOOL DANCEHALL to roll back the clock to what they call the good old days.
Come see the likes of Josey Wales, Admiral Bailey, Little John, Buru Banton, Peter Metro, Junior Cat, Lone Ranger, Major Mackerel, and several others, chant lyrics on the riddim played on the Sound Trooper Sound System, manned by Ricky Trooper, Danny Dread and Ilawa.
The excitement for the night will be taken to even greater heights with intermittent appearances by past winners of the World Reggae Dance Competition.
