In this video, we are planing a board at home with a simple Bosch Router and homemade router sled. This trick allows you to plane even if the board has a twist or is too wide for a standard planer. If you are into woodworking but do not have a planer, this is a hugely useful trick to know. This also works great for end grain cutting boards or thicker live edge boards that are to big for most planers. The router that I am using is the standard Bosch 1617EVSPK with a plunge base. If you are flattening an odd shaped board or stump, this is a great option.
