For years we believed Toothless was the last of his kind, but with the appearance of Light Furys it seems he may not be alone after all. Even though Night Furys and Light Furys seem almost identical, they are distinct species and today we are going to go through all of their similarities and differences and by the end you’ll understand how each dragon is unique.

Both Night Furies and Light Furies are extremely intelligent creatures surpassing all other dragon species. Although both are skittish, skeptical, cautious and defensive at first, they share a deep sense of empathy and loyalty to those they care about. They may have once been mysterious and feared dragons, but these species are truly vulnerable, highly emotional and curious creatures.
Toothless is the last member of his species. His girlfriend isn’t a Night Fury. Although they are both fast, stealthy, mighty and intelligent dragons, each species is different sizes, has varying physical attributes and has distinct stealth abilities. Toothless and his Light Fury may look and behave similarly, but she’s a variation of his species with her own features, traits and powers.
