There is so much going on here at Garden State Tortoise now that we are approaching the end of the active season. Baby turtles are popping up in the pens, baby diamondback terrapins need to be released into the wild before they get too used to being in captivity and we JUST got home from the very first AnimalConUSA event ever. It's hard to get back to reality after being in Orlando, Florida with so many amazing content creators from all over the world. Even though it was a work trip for us, it still felt like a vacation. That's just how awesome AnimalConUSA was. We highly recommend going next year! Now, back to the turtles....we've got some issues. Not only do we have to get these baby terrapins back to their wild salt marsh but we need to look for more baby Blanding's turtles that have hatched naturally in our expansive pond and pen. To make things a little more challenging, we haven't seen the mother Blanding's turtle in weeks. It's time to put on the snorkel and goggles and get in our 5,000+ Aquascape ecosystem to look for momma and babies underwater. Let's go swimming with turtles. After we released 300 baby turtles, of course.

Who is Garden State Tortoise?

However you made it here, thank you and welcome to Garden State Tortoise. Garden State Tortoise is home to hundreds of animals from all around the world. We are a family dedicated to adventure, conservation of wildlife, and all things nature. We are a reptile rescue and breeding facility for more than ten years, offering refuge to those who need it, and working everyday to protect the beautiful world of reptiles in any way we can.  Here on our YouTube channel you will be able to join us on our animal adventures while learning how to care for, protect, properly identify, feed and even breed many species of turtle, tortoise, snake and lizard. We even work with frogs and salamanders! We hope you enjoy our videos and help us share them with the world so we can continue to educate people of all ages about herpetology.
