Profiling for the FBI | Jana Monroe Oral History Interview

This is an oral history interview for the National Law Enforcement Museum with Jana Monroe, currently the director of Corporate Security and Business Resilience for Southern California Edison. Jana Monroe had a nearly twenty-five year career in local and federal law enforcement. In this interview, she spoke about her early law enforcement career in California first as a youth probation officer, then as a patrol officer, before joining the Federal Bureau of Investigations in the 1990s. As a special agent, Monroe was a member of the FBI’s prestigious Behavioral Science Unit, popularized by the television show Criminal Minds, and later served as the Assistant Director of the FBI’s new Cyber Division.
