How to Buy Treasury Bills, Notes, & Bonds from Treasury Direct or Fidelity - In this video I explain the differences between Treasury Bills, Notes, and Bonds. I then go over the details of how to buy treasury bills, treasury notes, and treasury bonds from four different options. Those options include Treasury Direct, Fidelity (an exchange), the secondary market for treasury bills, and I also cover how you can purchase treasury assets like these through exchange traded funds (ETF). I provide step by step procedures on how to buy t-bills, treasury notes, and T-bonds as new securities and on the secondary market.
With interest rates rising (along with inflation), treasury bills, notes, and bonds have quickly become attractive. This video is part of my investing for beginners series where I am attempting to provide a solid baseline of investing knowledge that can be easily pulled from throughout a person's investment lifespan.
