In this video we talk about the spring edibles purple dead nettle (Lamium purpureum) and henbit. (Lamium amplexicaule) Both plants are considered to be look alikes and can be eaten raw or cooked. In this video we talk a bit about identification and how to tell henbit and purple dead nettle apart. There are many great medicinal qualities to these plants and they are also early nectar sources for some pollinators. If you see some growing give them a try but make sure to save some for the bees!
