A big rainstorm was coming
A big rainstorm was coming towards us when we were staying at Hof Gorei Beach Resort on Samal Island for our honeymoon. My wife and I had a great time at the resort but the power went out at night because of the severe rain. We went on the island hopping tour the next morning and the ocean was loaded with debris that got washed in from the storm so the boat crew had to be careful. There was severe flooding in Davao and 13 people were washed away in the flood waters, mostly children.
