In this video I'll convert legacy to UEFI windows 10 without data loss. Legacy BIOS to UEFI conversion is done using GPTGEN tool. Converting legacy to UEFI can be done with inbuilt tool also, but for using that tool your PC must satisfy some conditions, and inbuilt tool doesn't work every time, so as an alternative you can use this method.

TEXT INSTRUCTIONS:-

1) First download GPTGEN From the below link
https://sourceforge.net/projects/gptgen/
2) Now extract it and go inside the folder and copy the location
3) Now open CMD As administrator and type "CD (paste the copied location)" and hit enter
4) Now type "GPTGEN -w \\.\physicaldrive#" (Where "#" is the disk number in which your C: Drive is present) & hit enter
5) Now type "y" and hit enter
6) Type "exit" and hit enter
7) Download RUFUS From the below link
https://rufus.ie/
8) Open RUFUS as administrator
9) Select your USB Drive
10) Then click on "Select" and select windows 10 ISO File
11) Now Press "ALT + E" to enable Dual UEFI / BIOS Mode in RUFUS
12) Now select MBR below partition scheme and then select FAT32 below file system and then click on start, wait until this gets completed.
13) click on close after it gets completed and then restart your computer
14) Now go into your BIOS and look for option like "Legacy" and then change it to "UEFI" (You can use keys like F2, ESC, Del, to enter into your BIOS which works most of the time)
15) Then boot up your USB
16) Now click on "NEXT". then click on "REPAIR YOUR COMPUTER" and now click on "TROUBLESHOOT" and then click on "COMMAND PROMPT"
17) Type "DISKPART" and hit enter
18) Type "LIS DISK" and hit enter
19) Now you have to select appropriate disk type "SEL DISK #" (Replace # with the disk number which you used in step 4 i.e the disk number in which your c: drive is present)"
20) Type "LIS PAR" and hit enter
21) Type "SEL PAR 1" and hit enter
22) Type "DEL PAR" and hit enter
23) Type "CREATE PAR EFI" and hit enter
24) Type "FORMAT FS=FAT32 QUICK" and hit enter
25) Type "ASSIGN LETTER=M:" and hit enter
26) Type "EXIT" and hit enter
27) Type "NOTEPAD" and hit enter and then go to "FILE", then click on "SAVE AS", and then click on "THIS PC" and find out your C: Drive letter (D: in Most Cases)
28) Type "BCDBOOT (YOUR C: DRIVE LETTER):\WINDOWS /S M: /F ALL" and hit enter
29) Type "EXIT" and hit enter, and then click on "TURN OFF PC"
30) Now turn on your PC, windows should have been converted to UEFI Now.
