► No Kyoto-trip would be complete without a visit to the bamboo grove in Arashiyama. A beautiful, fairytale-like place, a nationally-designated "Historic Site" and "Place of Scenic Beauty".
It's best to visit there, either early morning or late afternoon, as the place is extremely crowded in between. At the opening shot of the video, the place appears to be pretty deserted, but in fact 20-30 (polite!) visitors was waiting behind me, waiting for me to finish my shot - so there you have it.
It's a beautiful place, I can't recommend it enough. - Enjoy!
