Lately, we have been focusing
Lately, we have been focusing rather heavily on the AK family (and other Comblock firearms). So we felt it was time to revisit the Colt AR15. In this video, we present a general overview and a condensed history of the military CAR15 carbine family from the very first models, all the way through to today's variants.
We begin at the beginning with the original AR15 carbine, the Colt Model 605. Then we quickly move to the 607 or GX.5857, before getting into the XM177 family. There we cover the 609/XM177E1, 610/GAU-5A, 629/XM177E2, and 630/GAU-5A/A. Then we talk about a few of the transitional models from the 1970s and 1980s; such as the 653/M16A1 carbine, 723/M16A2 carbine, and 727/Xm4.
We wrap things up with the modern M4 and M4A1 carbine variants.
