Aham Brahmasmi Vedanta Retreat (Telugu) Batch 6 participants were blessed on 26th October 2023 by Jagadguru Sri Sri Vidhusekhara Bharati Mahaswamiji's Anugraha Bhashanam.
Sri Sannidhanam spoke on the nuances in the spiritual path of the sadhaka - On how the Guru is important in the life of a sadhaka. A sadhaka should start his sadhana by accepting Sri Krishna / Shankaracharya as his Guru. When the time is ripe for the aspirant he will CERTAINLY be blessed with a guru in human form who eventually helps him attain liberation by imparting Jnana.
Sri Sannidhanam explained in very simple words how a sadhaka of Vedanta should use life to progress in their spiritual Journey.
Three important aspects are touched up on in this Anugraha.
1. Dharmacharana : One has to take care of his basic needs so he cannot leave the worldly life, but one has to focus on his spiritual journey for the long term benefit. In the worldly life also, one should focus on following Dharma at every step.
2. How to apply Advaita in day to day life is the second aspect
Sri Jagadguru explained that when dealing with situations pertaining to Samanya Dharma(Hunger, Pain, Sukha and Dukha) which are common to every human being, one who is having capability to help the person in trouble, should help without any hesitation considering the fact that it is the same Chaitanya in the other person also. Feeling of Oneness should prompt one to help the person in need. Where as in a situation of Visesha Dharma where different roles have different rules, applying Advaita - all are one will lead to problems. Sri Sannidhanam gave example of Doctor doing Police duty and vice versa.
3. How to do samanvayam between Upasana(Bhakti), Karma and jñāna mārga. Till one reaches paripakvata in jñāna, Upasana and Karma are required. How after completing one class, student progressing to next class does not require to read the old books, the same way, one who attains jñāna can renounce Upasana and Karma . Until then one need to do Upasana and Karma. With the help of Advaita and Sadhana Chatushtaya, one has to keep progressing from one step to another.
Sri Sannidhanam told to consider either Krishna or Adi Shankaracharya as manasika gurus and try to read and understand Bhagavadgita and/or Prakarana Granthas.
