Ragu Ingredients:
- 1 medium onion
- 1 carrot
- 1 celery stalk leaves removed
- 3 tbsp or 45ml neutral oil - I used olive oil
- 1/2 lb or 250g ground pork – 80% lean
- 1/2 lb or 250g ground beef – 93% lean
- 1 cup or 250ml red wine
- 28oz cab 1 lb San Marzano tomatoes that have been crushed or pureed
- 1 cup or 250ml veal stock (you can also use chicken, vegetable, or beef stock)
- Salt and pepper to taste

Makes 4 to 6 servings
