Archival footage shot by an Austrian filmmaker while touring Asia in 1978.

It contains stock footage of Hong Kong, at that time a British colony:
1:09: Old Aberdeen Wet Market (now demolished and moved);
1:26: Repulse Bay;
1:50: Middle Island;
2:11: Tiger Balm Garden (虎豹別墅); the garden full of mural paintings telling Chinese folklores no longer existed;
3:13: Panoramas from Victoria Peak looking east and south with Aberdeen Reservoirs in the foreground;
3:34: Panoramas from Victoria Peak looking north to Victoria Harbour;
3:51: A cable-operated peak tram downhill (you can still enjoy it today);
4:19: Victoria Harbour;
4:46: Cross-harbour passenger ferry operated by HK & Yaumati Ferry Co (HYF). The Company went out of ferry business in 2000;
5:03: Shore view of Central and Sheung Wan. The twin towers of Shun Tak Centre were not yet built;
6:23: Po Lin Monastery;
8:26: The Murray (Murray Building) on Cotton Tree Drive;
8:39: Aberdeen Harbour;
13:07: Aircrafts landing and taking off at Kai Tak Airport (Hong Kong's airport up until 1998).
