(23 Dec 2014) Presidents Vladimir Putin of Russia and Nursultan Nazarbayev of Kazakhstan met in the Kremlin on Monday evening.
The Kazakh president travelled to Moscow from Kiev where he held talks with Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko.
The two leaders discussed Nazarbayev's meetings there as well as relations between their two countries.
Nazarbayev is in the Russian capital for a meeting on Tuesday of several heads of state of the former Soviet Union republics, grouped in the Collective Security Treaty Organisation.
The grouping is made up of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
