U.S. Federal Reserve could increase the size of interest rate hikes and raise borrowing costs

South of the border, interest rates will likely rise more than American's expect - -that's what federal reserve chairman Jerome Powell said today. He noted the fed will closely monitor economic data -- including Friday's job report - as he explained getting inflation back down to the goal of 2% will take some time.
