EPISODE 13 2024 Regal 38 XO: PROBLEMS, ISSUES & HEADACHES Episode 13 On the Water
We finally take our Regal 38XO out on the water. As we take the boat out into the Baltimore Harbor, which is the only place that we can test the boat currently because of the container ship Dali hitting the Key Bridge. We achieve some remarkable test results, as our boat goes over 40 knots as a top speed and only registers a decibel level of 70, which is simply remarkable for this kind of a boat.
We update you with what has been fixed with our boat, and what has gone wrong… can someone say Dometic AC Systems. Also in our tests we experience first hand what it is like to have a Seakeeper system on board. We also explore how Garmin does a terrible job of incorporating the AIS alerts into their systems. Scott gets to dock our boat, he has never docked a joystick boat before so it was interesting to see how the Yamaha Joystick system make him look like a pro. We dive under the bed to find where Regal Boats put the fresh water pump and in the Lazzertte, where they hid the raw water pump. PYI comes out with an amazing boat hook. Finally we see our boat torn apart while they try to fix the AC systems and we provide an update on what Dometic Marine Air Conditions plans to do to actually fix our problem.
