Synopsis:
During the establishment of the Wang puppet regime during the War of Resistance Against Japan, Mingtai, a wealthy young man, was spotted by Wang Tianfeng, a high-ranking military official, on his way to study at the University of Hong Kong, and was kidnapped to a military training class. Afterwards, Mingtai and his life and death partner Yu Manli went to Shanghai to carry out a series of secret activities. In the "Smash Project", Mingtai and Cheng Jinyun, a member of the CCP's underground party, successfully blasted the special train transported by the Wang puppet government to transport senior Japanese military officials. The two developed feelings during the battle. Afterwards, Mingtai assassinated Wang puppet high-ranking officials, assassinated Japanese spies, and made outstanding achievements repeatedly. However, Mingtai gradually became discouraged by the Kuomintang's "national wealth" in the course of actions. Cheng Jinyun developed him into a latent worker of the CCP's underground party. In order to win the final victory on the battlefield ahead, Mingtai and his elder brothers Minglou, who have complex identities, launched the "Death Knell Ringing" operation together, successfully used false information to confuse the Japanese army, and won a turning point for the final victory of the War of Resistance.
