Immunoprecipitation (IP) and Co-ImmunoPrecipitation (Co-IP)
Immunoprecipitation (IP) and Co-ImmunoPrecipitation (Co-IP) are the "gold standards" to study protein-protein interactions. IP is very helpful in protein characterization, and Co-IP is very powerful in discovering interactions of proteins in multi-protein complexes. Both of these techniques are extremely easy to use without the need of any expensive equipment, and give a wealth of important data quickly.
