After winning the Sur Singar music competition in the year 1976, a little known boy from Kolhapur named Suresh Ishwar Wadkar announced his entry in Bollywood. He got his first break with the song Chal Chameli Baug Mein from the film Krodhi. Suresh Wadkar stamped his authority in the film industry with the film Prem Rog in which he sang all the songs for Rishi Kapoor. While working as a music teacher at Arya Vidya Mandir in Mumbai, Suresh Wadkar taught many young kids who later became successful singers themselves. The song Ai Zindagi Gale Laga Le from the film Sadma and Aur Is Dil Mein Kya Rakha Hai from the film Imaandar, will forever be etched in every music lover's memory.
