Widowhood can be a lonely experience, particularly during the first year. When you add in the first year of a pandemic, the grieving process becomes even lonelier and more difficult in several ways. Family and friends are not always able to visit. The usual community support system may not be there. Distractions such as club meetings, traveling, and attending religious services are not readily available. June shares her widowhood journey and the coping strategies she has relied on.
