Trump says no summit with Xi until China signs trade deal with U.S.

Trump made the remarks at a press conference before he met visiting Chinese Vice-Premier Liu He, who arrived in Washington for the latest round of trade talks which got underway on April 3, 2019. Trump said the two sides will cover topics including tariffs and intellectual property theft, as well as an enforcement plan for a trade deal. Trade negotiators from China and the US have gone through nine rounds of talks since the start of the trade war in July 2018.. Trump said it’s possible an agreement could be reached in a little as four weeks.
