Ahmad Shah Durrani (1722 – 16 October 1772) was the founder of the Durrani Empire and is regarded as the founder of the modern state of Afghanistan.
Kherqae Sharifa /the Shrine of the Cloak
s located adjacent to the main mosque in Kandahar, Afghanistan. It contains the Kherqa, a cloak believed to have been worn by the Islamic prophet Muhammad during the famous Night Journey in 621 CE. It is said to be one of the holiest sites in Islam, and even considered by some as the heart of Afghanistan.
