About this video: With the retirement of MBTA’s single level cab cars well underway by April of 2024, the Hyundai Rotem CTC-5s (MBTA’s 1800s series cab cars) began making their way to the North Side. Some of the first few of these coaches that did so are featured in this video during their first few weeks of revenue service up North on the Newburyport/Rockport line. The clips in this video were taken throughout April in the towns of Beverly, Manchester, and Ipswich, MA.
