In this video, I upgraded my homemade lathe. The following works were carried out:
- by means of manual arc welding were welded reinforcing stiffeners in the caliper and front headstock;
- the bed received another channel;
- polished lathe chuck;
- moved the mounting of the frequency converter to the wall;
- the cutter holder was raised by a couple of millimeters;
- steering wheels received elongated levers;
- I glued rubber pads on the knives of the fasteners.
Prior to the start of work, he measured the rigidity and after the completion of this procedure.
