There are a lot of finesse rigs out there on the market, especially a lot of newer finesse rigs. However, some old school techniques still work well and will even outperform finesse tactics like ned rigs!

Finesse rigs like NEKO Rigs, NED Rigs and drop shots have consumed bass fisherman over the years, however some old school techniques still catch a lot of bass and some big bass.
One of those techniques is using a soft plastic Gary Yamamoto Twin Tail Hula Grub. This is a bait that a lot of guys used to use back in the day, but people seem as if they have stopped fishing it.
Whether you are fishing for spotted bass, smallmouth bass or largemouth bass. Hula grubs will catch bass when the fish are feeding on the bottom but they don't want to hit bigger lures like jigs.
This technique is also known as Spider jigging. It is truly a great way to catch bass in a power finesse type way.
